Q. What's the correct way to write an "Honor Code Statement" on a paper.
Allegheny College's Honor Code Statement can be found at http://sites.allegheny.edu/about/honor-code/.
Generally, if required, the honor statement is placed at the bottom of the title page, following format, font, and size of the other required items. Be sure to ask your individual professors on what to include. These statements can be as general as:
"I contest that this work is my own and received no professional assistance when researching."
OR Institution Specific
“Through the Honor Code, every student pledges to be responsible for the maintenance of honesty in one’s own academic work. Allowances under the Code, such as non-proctored exams, promote individual responsibility and the integrity of the entire College community. Allegheny’s code has the distinction of being originally developed and regularly updated and approved by the student body.”
